It is important to take regular back-ups of your website and other files saved on the server.
You can create backups of your website files and any MySQL databases you have in your account from within your control panel (cpanel) at any time. We strongly recommend that you make regular backups and make a backup before any major changes or updates to your website.
Log in to your website CPanel
Click "Backups" under 'Files'
Within your CPanel under 'Backups' you can watch a video tutorial on how to make back-ups.
You can take a full back-up of all of your files, databases, forwarders and filters.
Or you can take partial back-ups of individual items.
Please note: that your account may have a different number of databases / forwarers etc than the example above and they will have different names.
1. Download a 'Home Directory' backup
This will download a copy of your whole website (all the files and folders that have been uploaded) as a single compressed file. The download may take some time depending on your connection speed and the size of your website.
Once downloaded save the file somewhere safe in case you need to use it to restore your website later. Make it part of a regular routine to backup the website each month and especially before making any changes to your website.
2. Download a 'MySQL Database Backup'
This will download a copy of your MySQL database. If you have more than one database they will be listed here. You need to download each individual database if you have more than one.
Once downloaded save the file somewhere safe in case you need to use it to restore your database later. Make it part of a regular routine to backup your database based on how often it is updated.
