How Does it Work?
The wind turbines - based in the mid-atlantic region of the US, local to our hosting provider - create electricity which is delivered to the grid.
Our hosting provider buys Green-e certified credits which pays for 100% of the electricity used to run the hosting created by the nearby wind turbines.
When the wind is blowing the electricity produced by the wind turbines is allocated to our hosting providers and pushed to the grid. This is much more electricity than being used at that given time.
Our hosting providers tap the electricity to power the hosting servers, routers and air conditioners. This electricity has been created 100% by wind power.
