Green-e

The independent Green-e certification programme is administered by the Center for Resource Solutions, a non-profit organisation.

The Green-e programme establishes certain standards that an energy product / producer must meet in order to gain the certification.

These standards include:

  • criteria for eligible energy sources
  • meeting the Green-e code of conduct
  • submitting marketing materials to Green-e for approval
  • disclosing figures via an annual audit and;
  • standardising pricing and contract presentation for easy comparison.

Meeting these requirements allows the renewable energy provider (e.g the wind farm) to display the Green-e logo next to their energy product.

Visit the Green-e website to find out more about the certification programme.

Environmental Policy

Here at Make Hay we also implement an environmental policy.

Our environmental policy is a working document. This means that it doesn't simply state all the green things we're doing but helps us to employ new practices.
